I am especially thankful this season for my family. I have a great wife and two beautiful boys. The three of them are the light of my life. We are truly blessed to have our health and all the necessities of life.

Many in this world are not as fortunate. I ask that during this season you and I remember these families and individuals. Please consider giving to local food banks and charities that support efforts to provide for others’ well-being. Even simple prayers and acts of kindness go a long way.

Happy Thanksgiving to you from Tommy Smith and The Gardening Everyday!

I am relaunching The Gardening Everyday’s newsletter beginning today. As a reward to those who subscribe, I have revised and updated my Composting Begins In The Kitchen short report. You can receive your free copy by signing up for my newsletter using the form on the right side of this page. Below is a brief excerpt from the report.

Not all kitchen waste is suitable for the compost bin. Vegetable and fruit scraps work well. Meats and oils do not. Most material will break down over time. Meats, however, tend to attract many more flies and even animals to your compost. In addition, the odors they produce are much more foul.

The Gardening Everyday newsletter, emailed approximately every week, contains tips and gardening ideas you won’t always find on this blog. In addition, I also keep you up to date on noteworthy posts and articles from TheGardeningEveryday.com.

If you enjoy the gardening information on this site, I encourage you to subscribe to my email newsletter as well. Plus, you’ll get your free copy of my short report too!

Happy Gardening!

Update: I have replaced the composting ebook with my special report on growing tomatoes. You can still get the composting report as well by using the contact form on the About page.

Thanks,

Tommy

Those of you that follow The Gardening Everyday Blog might be wondering where all the new content is. Well, I must admit that with my regular job and my new hobby (golfing) I have been a bit slow in posting new articles. That is about to change.

Over the next few weeks you can expect to see a few modifications here. First, I will be updating the layout a little to make navigation more user friendly. Second, I plan to revamp my email list subscriber function. It’s great to be able to communicate with you via a periodic email update. My current system is under utilized by me and those of you who subscribe. Finally, I will be adding more content. There’s nothing wrong with the current content on this blog, I just need to provide you with more on a regular basis.

So, keep a lookout for the coming changes and please feel free to drop me a comment or suggestion for a topic using the form on the About page. And, if you haven’t done so already, I encourage you to subscribe to my feed using the orange RSS button at the top of the page.
